The Center for Psychological Services at Western Caspian University is dedicated to promoting mental health and well-being within our university community. Our team of experienced psychologists and counselors provide a range of confidential services to support students, faculty, and staff in achieving their personal and academic goals.

OUR SERVICE

Individual Counseling: Confidential one-on-one sessions with a trained counselor to explore personal concerns, develop coping strategies, and work towards personal growth and resilience.

Crisis Counseling: We offer crisis counseling services to help individuals navigate through difficult situations, manage overwhelming emotions, and develop a plan for safety and support. If additional support is needed, we can provide referrals to other mental health professionals or community resources for ongoing care and support.

Workshops and Seminars: We offer educational workshops and seminars on a variety of mental health topics, including stress management, anxiety, depression, and self-care. These workshops provide valuable information and practical skills to help individuals better understand and manage their mental health.

REGULATION

1. General provisions

1.1. With this charter of the Psychological Service Center of the Western Caspian University, the status and management rules of the center are determined in accordance with the Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan on Psychological Assistance and the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan on the approval of the Rules for the Organization of Psychological Services in Educational Institutions.

1.2. The activity of the Center is based on the Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan on Psychological Assistance, the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan on the approval of the Rules for the Organization of Psychological Services in Educational Institutions, the decisions of the Scientific Council of the Western Caspian University, the orders and demands of the University management.

1.3. The activity of the center is carried out under the leadership of the Vice-Rector for General Affairs of the Western Caspian University.

1.4. The center is managed by the head of the center appointed by the rector on the recommendation of the Vice-Rector for General Affairs of Western Caspian University.

1.5. The tasks of the center are carried out by its director and other employees of the center.

2. The purpose and functions of the activity of the center

2.1. The main purpose of the establishment of the center is to carry out psychological diagnostics of the staff and students of the Western Caspian University, to improve their psychological condition and to realize the well-being of employees and students by using various psychotherapy tools with those who need psychological support, and to reveal the intellectual and personal emotional development of students who face difficulties in education. it consists of studying the characteristics and studying the social-psychological environment in groups.

3. Rights and duties of the center

3.1. The Center has the following rights to perform its functions:

3.1.1. To carry out various psychological preliminary evaluations, organization and implementation of psychological services within their powers in connection with the fulfillment of the duties defined by this Regulation;

3.1.2. Conducting various researches, mathematical statistical analyzes and generalizations according to the directions of psychological activity, obtaining quantitative and qualitative results;

3.1.3. To organize meetings, seminars, trainings and trainings in the areas of psychological activity, to prepare and publish educational materials;

3.1.4. To cooperate with international and local organizations and centers and psychologists-psychotherapists in the fields of psychological activity, to carry out various trainings and seminars on theory and practice, to participate in the implementation of various projects;

3.1.5. To make suggestions to the university management about the events to be implemented;

3.1.6. Organize the implementation of various researches and be represented in local and foreign journals and print articles and theses containing the results of psychological research conducted at local and international conferences;

3.1.7. To exercise other rights provided by the legislation in accordance with the directions of activity.
