PSYCHOLOGICAL SERVICE CENTER
Psychological Service Center is focused to promoting mental health and well-being within the university community. The mission of our center, consisting of experienced psychologists and counselors, is to offer accessible mental health services that enable individuals to overcome difficulties, develop resilience, and promote success in their academic and personal lives.
The Psychological Service Center of Western Caspian University operates based on the charter that defines the centers status, management procedures, and areas of activity, in accordance with the Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan "On Psychological Assistance" and the Cabinet of Ministers decision on the approval of the "Rules for the Organization of Psychological Services in Educational Institutions." At the same time, the centers activities are carried out based on the decisions of the universitys Scientific Council and the orders and requirements of the administration.
The main objective of the center is to assess the psychological conditions of students and staff who apply for services at the university, to ensure the improvement of the well-being of individuals in need of psychological support through various psychotherapeutic methods, to identify the intellectual and emotional development characteristics of students facing difficulties in the educational process, and at the same time, to study the socio-psychological environment within groups.
In order to fulfill its responsibilities, the center is vested with a number of rights. It has the authority to conduct psychological assessments and organize relevant services, carry out research and statistical analysis in the field of psychology, and interpret the results to inform future activities. The center has the right to make proposals to the university administration regarding planned initiatives and retains other rights stipulated by the relevant legislation.
SERVICES
Individual Counseling involves one-on-one meetings with an experienced consultant to explore personal concerns, develop strategies for coping with stress, and work towards personal growth and resilience.
The center provides consultation to help students navigate difficult situations, manage overwhelming emotions, and develop safety and support plans. If additional support is needed, referrals to other mental health professionals can be arranged.
Training and Seminars: We offer educational seminars and training sessions on various mental health topics, including stress management, anxiety, depression, and similar issues. These events provide valuable information and practical skills to help individuals better understand
and manage their mental health. The Psychological Service Center at Western Caspian University is committed to protecting the privacy and confidentiality of all individuals who use our services.
