At Western Caspian University, we are committed to providing equal opportunities and support for students with disabilities. We believe that everyone should have access to higher education and strive to create an inclusive environment where all students can thrive. One of the main goals of the Western Caspian University is to create an environment where students, teachers and staff with disabilities studying and working on campus can fully participate in academic programming and all other areas of university life.

Accessibility Services

Ramps and Elevators: We have ramps and elevators in place to provide access to buildings and facilities for students with mobility impairments.

Accessible Classrooms: We strive to ensure that classrooms are accessible to all students. This includes providing seating arrangements that accommodate wheelchairs and other mobility devices.

Academic Accommodations

Extended Time for Exams: Exams for people with disabilities are organized by special methods.

 Students with disabilities may be eligible for extended time on exams to ensure they have sufficient time to complete their assessments;

Enlarging the font and giving it in paper form to students with poor eyesight during the test exams;

Oral examination of a student with limited writing ability;

Organizing the exam for a visually impaired student only in audio form;

The exam for a disabled (cerebral palsy) student is organized online.

Accessible Course Materials: We provide accessible course materials, such as textbooks in alternative formats (e.g., audio, digital) and accessible online resources, to ensure that students can fully engage with the course content.

Counseling and Emotional Support

At Western Caspian University, we understand that students with disabilities may face unique challenges during their university experience. Our Counseling and Emotional Support services are designed to provide personalized support to help students manage these challenges and maintain their mental health. Some of the services we offer include:

Individual Counseling: Our counselors work one-on-one with students to provide support, guidance, and coping strategies for managing the stress and challenges of university life.

Group Counseling: We offer group counseling sessions where students can connect with peers facing similar challenges and share experiences in a supportive environment.

Crisis Intervention: In times of crisis, our counselors are available to provide immediate support and assistance to students.

Referrals: If additional support is needed, our counselors can provide referrals to external mental health professionals and services
