What documents are required for registration?

The following documents are required for registration:
* Original ‘Diploma’ certificate
* 6 photos (3x4)
* Copy of ID card
* Medical certificate
* Copy of military certificate or certificate of military registration for men
* Tuition fee (50 percent)
* Work number and password

 

Who can apply for non-paid education?

Children of disabled citizens who have been disabled during the defense of territorial integrity, sovereignty, independence and the constitutional system of the Republic of Azerbaijan, who laid down their lives for the freedom, sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Republic of Azerbaijan and/or lost in connection with military operations and were declared dead by a court.
At the same time, those who have lost their parents and are deprived of parental care are exempt from paying tuition fee.

Does WCU provide state reservations?

Yes, WCU offers state-owned places in all specialties.

Has the university recently lowered tuition fees?

Yes, even as the University modernises its infrastructure and technical base, building new buildings and significantly upgrading technology & innovative engineering, tuition fees have been reduced with the goal of increasing student enrollment.

What are the new specialties?

From the academic year 2018/2019, 10 new bachelor-level programmes have been added. These are:

1. Consumer Goods Expertise and Marketing

2. Forestry

3. Land Management

4. Land and Cadaster

5. Architecture

6. State and Municipal Administration

7. Accounting and Auditing

8. Industrial Organisation and Management

9. History

10. Philosophy.

The University has also started admissions to new specialties in engineering to include Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Systems Engineering, Construction Engineering, Electronics, Telecommunication and Radio Engineering, Mechatronics and Robotics Engineering and Systems Engineering.

New specialties have also been created for Master's degrees in the fields of both psychology and ecology for those who wish to study their post-graduate studies in these fields at WCU.

Does WCU support students' education abroad?

Western Caspian University participates in a number of exchange programmes. The University’s international network of partners covers over 200 educational institutions around the world. These partnership projects include Erasmus and Mevlana student exchange programmes, master’s courses, and summer schools of different formats and content. We provide maximum support to our students abroad within the framework of a number of student exchange programmes, as well as joint diplomacy projects in partnership with four leading universities around the world and a three-dimensional diploma project (also a double diploma) in the MBA programme.

What are the specialties with the transitional score 150?

WCU requires a score of 150 points for admission into the following 9 specialties:

Group I

  2. Technology of Wood Materials and Woodworking Technology
  3. Examination and Marketing of Consumer Goods
  4. Polygraph Engineering

Group II

  1. Marketing
  2. Business Management
  3. Regional Studies (by regions)
  4. Tourism and Hotel Management

Group III

  1. Ecology 

* A transitional score of 150 is required only for local (Azerbaijani) students in order to continue their education in the Bachelor degree.
