Entry requirements for foreign students
Admission of foreign citizens to the Western Caspian University is carried out by registering on the website portal.edu.az and submitting an application for the appropriate specialty.

Candidates need to register on the website portal.edu.az, upload the necessary documents and submit an application to the Western Caspian University. After submitting the application, an online interview with the Admissions Committee is held. Tuition fees must be paid in full before arrival in Azerbaijan.

Below is a list of the required documents:
• A copy of your international passport (the passport must be valid for at least one year from the date indicated below)
• 2 3x4 photographs (red background)
• A legalized (apostille) education document and a transcript of academic performance, which indicate the subjects studied at the previous level of education and the grades received for them.
• Certificates (if any);
• A medical certificate, including a certificate of absence of the AIDS virus, hepatitis B and C;
Note:Only persons holding a bachelors degree must undergo the legalization process to enroll in a masters degree program (see the requirements of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan for legalization/nostrification on the website tkta.edu.az);

* Foreigners or stateless persons temporarily staying in the Republic of Azerbaijan for more than 15 days (for more than 30 days for citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan) have to register upon place of stay.
* When a foreigner or stateless person changes his/her place of stay, he/she has to register upon new place of stay within 5 working days from the date of arrival at the new address in a way envisaged by Articles 21.2-21.5 of Migration Code. When a foreigner or stateless person is temporarily staying in another apartment (place of accommodation) owned by the owner of the apartment (place of accommodation) in which he/she is registered, his/her re-registration is not required.
* For the registration foreigner, within 15 days (within 30 days for citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan) after arrival in the country, have to apply via electronic services of the official website of the State Migration Service of the Republic of Azerbaijan and e-mail (qeydiyyat@migration.gov.az ) or in person to regional migration departments, or "ASAN service" centers.
* Required documents:
- application form;
- Copy of the passport (other border crossing document) of the foreigner (including the visa page and pages indicating the last entry to the country).
* No state fee is required for registration of foreigners and stateless persons upon place of stay.
The ASAN Visa system provides the opportunity to speed up visa processing within 3 hours, regardless of weekends and holidays. In this regard, foreigners and stateless persons can apply for an electronic visa by visiting the website evisa.gov.az/en/, receiving detailed information. Electronic visas are issued only to citizens of the countries specified in the list.

Foreigners and stateless persons should submit the following documents for obtaining (extending) permit for temporary residence in the territory of the Republic of Azerbaijan:
- application form sample of which approved by the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan;
- copy of the passport or other border crossing document (validity period of passport or other border crossing document should be more than 3 months of the expiry date of the temporary residence permit to be issued);
- notarized copy of the birth certificate or other document equal to it (for persons without passport who are under the age of 18);
- notarized consent application of the family member or close relative, as stipulated in Articles 45.1.1 and 45.1.5 of the Migration Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan, regarding the issuance of a temporary residence permit to foreigners and stateless persons based on the grounds specified in those articles;
- reference certifying that the person is not carrier of a virus of any disease (dangerous infectious diseases such as human immunodeficiency virus infection and hepatitis B and C) included in the list of dangerous infectious diseases approved by relevant executive authority;
- copy of the document authorizing to stay or temporarily reside in the territory of the Republic of Azerbaijan;
- two photos sized 3.5 x 4.5 cm;
- the document of the residential area where the person will be registered on (extract on the state registration of the property right from state registry of real estate, warrant for accommodation, rent or tenancy agreement or other document set forth in the legislation of the Republic of Azerbaijan);
- application of the person providing the foreigner or stateless person with a residential area (except in cases where the residential area is in the possession of the foreigner or stateless person);
- copy of the identification document of the person providing the foreigner or stateless person with a residential area (except in cases where the residential area is in the possession of the foreigner or stateless person);
- receipt certifying payment of the state fee;
Receipt certifying payment of the state fee is submitted by foreigners and stateless persons when the permission card for temporary residence on the territory of the Republic of Azerbaijan is presented to them. If the state fee is not paid within 30 days from the last day of the period provided for in Article 47.5 of the Migration Code, the State Migration Service shall cancel the temporary residence permit.
