The following documents must be submitted to study for a doctoral or dissertation programs:

application (in the name of the rector);

personal registration card of personnel;

autobiography;

testimonial from work;

3 photos (3x4 size);

extract from the employment record book for those with work experience;

list of published scientific works or thesis on the chosen major;

notarized copy of the diploma and its appendix on higher education;

(certificate on recognition of documents on education for citizens of the Republic of Azerbaijan who studied abroad);

copy of identity document.

 

Admission rules:

 

  1. Admission to doctoral and dissertation programs is carried out in accordance with the "Rules for the establishment of doctoral programs and admission to doctoral programs" approved by the Resolution No. 163 of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated July 1, 2010.
  2. Citizens of the Republic of Azerbaijan who have completed a master's degree of higher education (defending a master's dissertation) or whose education is equivalent to it shall be admitted to doctor of philosophy doctoral and dissertation programs on the basis of a competition.
  3. Doctors of Philosophy in certain fields of higher education or citizens of the Republic of Azerbaijan with equal education are admitted to doctor of science doctoral and dissertation programs on the basis of interviews.

 

  1. Only those who have gained a minimum score (25 points) in a foreign language exam conducted by the State Examination Centre (SEC) may submit documents for admission to the doctor of philosophy doctoral and dissertation programs.

 

  1. The registration date will last from April 5, 2022 to May 5, 2022 (online via portal.edu.az).

 

  1. It is planned to accept documents for doctoral studies electronically through the Centralized Information System of Education (CES). Those wishing to submit a document to the doctoral program must enter the website of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan portal.edu.az, select the service "Student admission and registration of higher and secondary special education institutions" and register in accordance with the instructions (Instructions are attached).

 

  1. The examination on the subject of philosophy is carried out in the higher education institution, scientific institutions and organizations determined by the higher education institution, scientific institutions and organizations subordinated to the doctoral program. The result of the exam is assessed as "acceptable" or "unacceptable". The content (program) of the exam is determined jointly by ANAS and the Ministry.

 

  1. Tuition fees are determined on a contractual basis.
