Training held within the scope of the "One Sheet-One Leaf" project

Western Caspian University teachers and students organised a three-day training event within the framework of the "One Sheet-One Leaf" project, which won the "Make the Idea 2022" Grant Contest.

The project training, which was achieved with the support of the Azerbaijan Youth Fund and in partnership with the Western Caspian University, was carried out in the engineering branches of the university.

On the first day of the training, the mentor of the project, Western Caspian University Faculty Member, Doctor of Philosophy of History Günay Hasanova opened the event and talked about the victories and successes of university students in many startups and hackathon competitions.  Tunzala Majidova, a 3rd year student at the Faculty of High Technologies and Innovative Engineering at Western Caspian University, gave a speech and informed  the young people about the creation and preparation of their ideas, as well as the project development process. main objectives of the project and expected results.

Instructor, young environmentalist Günel Şirinli gave a speech on "Preventing paper waste in the world and in our country". As part of the training, interesting games were played with the participants and team tasks were performed.

 On the second day of the training, Western Caspian University faculty membersgave a variety of talks providing, educational information to the young people.The talks were as follows:

Fariz Hasanlı Programming and Information Security Department Head , "Positive Effects of Digitalization on Paper Usage"

Ecology Department Head Assoc. Dr. Tarana Poladova, "The Effects of Paper Processing on the Ecological Environment",

Forestry Specialties Teacher of the Department of Natural Sciences, Geography, Ph.D. Adilaga Malikov, the importance of afforestation, providing a healthy future, environmental problems; their causes and solutions, as well as preventing paper waste and protecting our lungs.

 

At the event, the designer of the project, Ravan Karimov, a 4th year student at the Faculty of Design of the University, gave interesting information to the participants about the points to be considered while designing the logos of the projects.

Guests also attended the training, including Ahmedli village mayor Allahverdi Hasanlı and his employee Türkan Sadigova.

Schoolchildren, students and young teachers from Baku and the regions participated in the training on "education about the restoration of our lungs", which has become a global problem of the whole world.

   At the end of the training, presents and certificates were presented to the participants who were distinctive and ranked as a result of various competitions.

"Bring the leaf, take the leaf back!" The next phase of the project will continue in the form of awareness training in several secondary schools in Baku.
