Inaugural "Orientation Day" Welcomes Freshmen at Western Caspian University

The Western Caspian University kicked off the academic year with a grand "Orientation Day" for its first-year students, setting the stage for an exciting journey into the world of higher education. The event aimed to acquaint students with university life, its recent achievements, and the steps taken to ensure a high-quality education.

The day commenced with an informative session, where students were enlightened about the university's rich history, its recent accomplishments, and the relentless pursuit of excellence in education. The administration provided a comprehensive overview of the university's commitment to fostering academic success and personal growth.

Following the opening session, students were treated to detailed presentations about various academic disciplines, shedding light on the diverse array of specialties available. Presentations also highlighted the university's state-of-the-art laboratories, research centres, and the Technopark, where students have been crafting prototypes that have garnered recognition in local and international competitions over the years.

Notably, last year, at the prestigious "TEKNOFEST" Aerospace and Technology Festival hosted by our country, the "DEC" team, comprised of graduates from our university, emerged victorious in the "Socially-Oriented Technologies" competition. The team members were honoured to receive their awards from the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, the President of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, and Nobel laureate Professor Aziz Sancar.

Distinguished speakers took to the stage to congratulate the incoming students, encouraging them to make the most of the high-quality educational environment and opportunities available at Western Caspian University. Following the formal proceedings, students embarked on tours of the university campus, gaining a firsthand introduction to the academic facilities and the disciplines they will pursue.

The "Orientation Day" at Western Caspian University serves as a promising start to the academic journey for these eager freshmen, setting the tone for a successful and enriching university experience.
