Western Caspian University Successfully Continues International Scientific Research.
Caspian Scientific Research Center Takes Important Steps in Studying Biodiversity with International Cooperation.
In recent years, Western Caspian University has achieved significant successes in the development of science, expansion of international relations and promotion of research culture. The university's modern laboratories, scientific research institutes, centers and cooperation platforms with world scientists are making significant contributions to Azerbaijani science and the sustainable development of the region.
On May 13–17, 2025, significant research was conducted within the framework of international scientific cooperation at the Caspian Scientific Research Center of Western Caspian University. Professor of Altai University of Russia, world-renowned entomologist Roman Yakovlev, senior research fellow of the Institute of Zoology of the Russian Academy of Sciences (St. Petersburg), candidate of biological sciences N.A. Shapoval and entomologist Vyacheslav Doroshkin from Chelyabinsk University participated in a joint expedition with the University's employees to study entomological biodiversity at the center.
On May 21–25, employees of the Upper Silesian Museum in the city of Bytom, Poland - entomologists Andrzej Lason and Roman Krolik, Roland Dobosh, Wojtek Szepanski, Lech Krushelnytsky and Lukasz Matuskiewicz - also participated in the research conducted at the Caspian Scientific Research Center, contributing to the study of the entomological fauna of the region.
These expeditions are one of the important steps taken by the Caspian Scientific Research Center to establish and expand international cooperation in the field of protecting the region's biodiversity and studying ecosystems on a scientific basis.
With such international projects, Western Caspian University is becoming a strategic center for ecological research and scientific cooperation not only in Azerbaijan, but also in the Caspian region.
