Our students took part in the exhibition-conference "The current state and prospects of social entrepreneurship in Azerbaijan
On November 26th, 2022, the important project "Initiatives for the promotion of social entrepreneurship and organisation of enterprises among young people" was organised in Baku. It took place within the framework of "Cooperation of the state, universities and non-governmental organisations" in association with the "Architecture, Construction and Design" Public Union (ACDPU/MIDIB). The format was an exhibition-conference called "Current Situation and Perspectives of Social Entrepreneurship in Azerbaijan".
At the event, a group of students of the Western Caspian University, namely, (Vasif Gasimzade, Agil Gurbanli, Gyuli Mekhtievi, Sevinc Suleymanova, Ruslan Guliyev, Gulnur Mammadova, Nuran Bayramov, Ramila Bagirova, Vasif Rahimov, Fidan Zamanli, Elmira Abbasova, Arifa Heybatova, Elmira Abbasova) , Ramila Bagirova, Aysel Huseynova, Narmin Azimova, Gunel Huseynova, Nergiz Mammedova, Fidan Azimova, Aysu Ahmedli, Guler Mammadova, Narmin Allahverdiyeva, Muhammad Kaleshzade, Kanan Jafarov, Ellada Gadirova and Nargiz Ilyasova) were active participants. Asli Abbasova, a teacher of the Faculty of Design, also participated.
The first part of the event began with the exhibition of projects and products by 120 young people who underwent training "Organisation of social entrepreneurship and enterprises" within the project in the period October-November, and then continued with presentations by speakers on various topics.
Within the project, there was a one-day practical training programme under the name "Organisation of social entrepreneurship and enterprises" for 120 young people consisting of four groups of 30 people in three cities (Baku city, Khirdalan city and Sumgayit city) within three months.
At the end of the training, each student worked on their social business projects individually or as a group and presented them at the final project event called "Current Situation and Perspectives of Social Entrepreneurship in Azerbaijan" at the exhibition-conference.
The event continued with various speeches, and at the end certificates were presented to the participants.
