Our Students Participate in Excavations of Ancient Village

Under the guidance of PhD on History Vafa Mahmudova, students of History faculty from Western Caspian University are taking part in the recently initiated archaeological digs in the Jalilabad district.

A Neolithic settlement was found during the excavation, which was recently initiated. The course "Archaeology" provided theoretical knowledge to the students taking part in the archaeological excavations.

The primary goal of the students' involvement in the field experience is to apply their theoretical knowledge into practice. They also hope to become familiar with objects used in digs, ancient people's household items, burial monuments, etc.

The field experience will continue until the archaeological dig is completed.
