WCU Student Gains Academic Experience at Istanbul University
Leyla Tagiyeva, a 4th-year student majoring in Water Bioresources and Aquaculture at the School of High Technologies and Innovative Engineering of Western Caspian University, completed a one-month academic internship at the Faculty of Aquatic Sciences at Istanbul University.
During the internship, under the supervision of GokhanTuncelli, she participated in training and research in various laboratories, focusing on topics such as “Mussel breeding and microplastic analysis,” “Extraction of fatty acids from fish roe,” and “Toxin analysis in algae.”
At the conclusion of the internship, Leyla Tagiyeva was awarded diploma with distinction by Prof. Dr. Nuray Erkan Özden, Head of the Department of Fisheries and Seafood Processing Technologies, and Prof. Dr. Ozkan Özden, Head of the Department of Seafood Processing Technology.
