Thor Heyerdahl and Azerbaijan conference
Thor Heyerdahl is probably the most famous Norwegian of the twentieth century, having had a long career as an explorer, writer and anthropologist. Heyerdahl visited Azerbaijan several times and spent his last years working on projects focusing on old connections between Caucasus and Scandinavia.This conference brings together scholars from different fields to discuss Heyerdahl, s ideas and to throw light on the ties between these regions. One of the meetings of” Tur Heyerdal and Azerbaijan” Baku confrans was taken place on the 26th-29th of October. This meeting was organized with the members of Tur Heyerdal family.
