Earth Day Webinar
The Research Institute of Mountain Cultures & Landscapes at Western Caspian University took part in a webinar entitled ‘We are nature: mountain women protect the world collectively’ dedicated to Earth Day, organized by the European International Climbing & Mountaineering Federation (UIAA).
The event discussed prospects for sustainable mountain development & community tourism, exchanged knowledge and experience on recommendations for strengthening economic justice for women living in mountainous areas, sharing experiences and knowledge on mountain environment and water conservation, how climate change affects mountain women, and how mountaineering is strengthening women’s collective empowerment and collective leadership.
