Born in Baku, graduated from Baku Music Academy, Faculty of History and Theory of Music, got Ph.D. degree in musicology (2004), Doctor of Sciences degree (2022). Director of the State Museum of Musical Culture of Azerbaijan. Associated Professor, Western Caspian University. Honoured Culture Worker of Azerbaijan. A member of the International Council of Museums (ICOM), where she was elected into the boards of some international committees; a member of The International Association of Word and Music Studies (WMA); a member of The Composers’ Union of Azerbaijan. She has initiated and organized several international conferences.
Author of over 130 publications on history of culture, museum studies, literature, Azerbaijani music, intermedial studies, interrelations of music and literature.
Translation of Different Cultural Contexts is a 60-hour practical course for Azerbaijani or Russian speaking students specialized in English philology and translation from|to English, future translators, for whom English is a foreign language and who seek to broaden their intellectual horizon and professional skills through studies of the peculiarities, methods and ways of translation of texts on culture, i.e. related to visual arts, music, religion, literature, applied art, philosophy, etc.
