Western Caspian University Students Participate in the 100th Agricultural Business Festival.

Students of Biology and Aquatic Bioresources and Aquaculture Present Startups at the 100th Agricultural Business Festival.

Baku, 5 October 2026 - Students Suleyman Hajizada and Nazrin Valiyeva, enrolled in the Biology and Aquatic Bioresources and Aquaculture programs at the School of Innovative Engineering and Natural Sciences, participated in the 100th Anniversary Agricultural Business Festival, organized by the Agricultural Innovation Center (AIC) of the Ministry of Agriculture.

As part of the festival, the students presented startup projects developed around innovative ideas and technological solutions. Suleyman Hajizada presented his startup project “Aqua Mind AI”, while Nazrin Valiyeva presented “Aqua Sense AI.”

The students’ startup projects are based on the integration of aquaculture, hydroponics, and artificial intelligence technologies. The primary objective of the projects is to develop AI-driven management solutions for the real-time monitoring of aquatic ecosystems, tracking water-quality parameters and temperature, and ensuring optimal living conditions for aquatic organisms.

The proposed smart system integrates aquaculture and hydroponics to create a closed and controllable ecosystem. This approach facilitates the efficient use of water resources, reduces water loss, supports the preservation of ecological balance, and contributes to the more sustainable management of aquaculture operations.

Another important component of the startups is the development and management of live feed production for fisheries and aquaculture operations using artificial intelligence. The system envisages the application of technological solutions for monitoring life-feed production, controlling environmental parameters, and optimizing production processes.

The application of modern technologies, including artificial intelligence, sensor technologies, real-time monitoring, and automated control systems—in these projects offers significant potential for advancing sustainable aquaculture and promoting the efficient utilization of aquatic bioresources.

The students’ participation in the 100th Anniversary Agricultural Business Festival with their startup projects provided them with valuable experience in transforming scientific knowledge into innovative solutions, addressing real-world challenges in the agricultural sector through technology, and further developing their entrepreneurial and innovation skills.
