Open Lecture on Women’s Rights
On Thursday, the Department of English Language & Literature held a lecture on Soviet Utopia, Gender Equality and Women in Azerbaijan. Dr. Yuliya Gureyeva-Aliyeva, who has published several articles in the field, discussed the development of women’s rights during the Soviet and Post-Soviet era in Azerbaijan.
In her lecture, Dr. Gureyeva-Aliyeva focused on historical milestones, important women in the history of Azerbaijan and the situation of women nowadays. She also underlined the significance of doing further research in this field.
