WCU Students Shine at International Competition

First-year students of the WCU School of Economics & Business Aslan Aliyev, Kamila Mammadzade, Ayan Mirzazade and Elmin Ahmadov succeeded in the online ‘2020 Global Enterprise Experience’ competition.

120 teams from 120 countries with 8 participants each took part in the competition. The groups came from 700 universities with a total of nearly 12,000 participants. Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand, hosted the competition.

The competition required teams to develop a 6-page business concept proposal for a low-cost enterprise that aims to effectively develop the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. Participants were given 3 weeks to get acquainted with team members from other countries virtually, develop creative ideas, select a project idea together, conduct research, write a quality proposal on strategy, marketing, economic evaluation, financing and implementation.

It is a matter of pride that our students successfully responded to this challenge. Both the 2nd and 4th place teams had representatives from Western Caspian University.
