The Congress of Vienna (1814–1815) was a major diplomatic conference held to reorganize Europe after the Napoleonic Wars. It played a crucial role in establishing the principles of balance of power, multilateral diplomacy, and collective security. The Congress laid the foundations of modern international conference diplomacy.
