Shusha Declaration (2021)

The Shusha Declaration is an important political and diplomatic document that defines the strategic foundations of the alliance between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Turkey. The Declaration envisions deepening cooperation between the two countries in political, military, economic, cultural, and security spheres, and lays the groundwork for a new phase in the regional security architecture.
It was signed on June 15, 2021, in the historic city of Shusha by President Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan of Turkey. The Declaration was signed in two original copies, in Azerbaijani and Turkish, with all texts being equally authentic.
