Hasanov Khudayar Ismayil oglu was born in 1958. After graduating from Malibayli village secondary school in Shusha region, he entered the chemistry faculty of Azerbaijan State University (now BSU). In 1981, he graduated from that faculty and was sent to the Institute of Inorganic and Physical Chemistry of the Azerbaijan Academy of Sciences (ANAS). In the same year, he was seconded to the Institute of General and Inorganic Chemistry in Moscow as an intern-researcher. He entered the postgraduate course of that institute on general grounds and defended his candidate dissertation there. In 2000, he defended his doctoral dissertation. In 2006, by the decision of the AAC, he was awarded the scientific title of professor. In 2006-2010, he was the deputy chairman of the expert council of the AAC on chemistry. Under his leadership, 7 people received the scientific degree of Doctor of Philosophy in chemistry. He is the author of nearly 500 scientific articles, 8 monographs, 1 textbook, 3 methodological manuals, 7 patents (one Eurasian). He is a specialist in biocoordination chemistry (medicinal chemistry).
He is currently a professor at the Department of Ecology and Environment.
