Rector & Associate Professor Zenfira Mammadova spoke about close cooperation between Western University and the Institute of History and noted the role of scientists of Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences in the development of historical science in Azerbaijan.

Director of the Institute of History, Correspondent Member of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences Yagub Mammadov noted the role of Azerbaijan in the victory over fascism during the war in 1941-1945.

In his speech, Deputy Director of the Institute of History, Professor Jabi Bahramov noted the military strategic importance of Baku oil during the World War II.

‘World War II and Baku Oil’, ‘Historical Memory of the Second World War and Heritage of Generation’, ‘Azerbaijani People in World War II Fronts’ and other papers were presented at the conference.
