Baku Conference: New Accounting Standards
A conference on ‘Application of New Accounting Standards in Azerbaijan: Problems & Perspectives’ was hosted by Dr Gulnara Hajiyeva, a teacher at the WCU School of Business, (Ph.D. in Economics), and 4th year students in Finance, Asmar Huseynli and Ulker Bayramli.
The conference, organised by the World Bank and Azerbaijan Association of Accountants & Risk Professionals, discussed with graduates of Azerbaijan's leading universities the issues in accounting, the importance and prospects of applying new standards in the field, and the cooperation of international accounting firms.
