Conference @ WCU
On December 5th, 2015 Ministry of Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan, State Committee for Family, Women & Children's Affairs, and Western University Gender Research Centre held an International Scientific Conference ‘Changes in Gender Roles in a Globalised World’ dedicated to the memory of National Leader Heydar Aliyev.
Rector and Associate Professor Zenfira Mammadova in her welcome speech spoke about the importance of the conference.
Further the floor was given to Aynur Sofiyeva, Deputy Chairman of the State Committee for Family, Women & Children’s Affairs.
Member Parliament Agiya Nachchivanli noted that the process of globalisation affected women who become victims of the process.
MP Hadi Rajabli and MP Aydin Mirzazade expressed best wishes for success in the work of conference.
Representative of Higher Institution of Ataturk Culture, Language & History at the office of Prime Minister of the Turkish Republic Mukaddas Aslan, Associate Professor of the Department of the Russian Academy of Medical Sciences Tair Baratovich Jafarli, representative of Karaganda State Technical University of Kazakhstan Ajar Mukhamedjanova, Assosiate Professor Svetlana Gennadeva Karatseva from Belarus and Ph.D. Martha Lawry from USA also participated at the conference.
After the opening ceremony the conference continued its work in sections.
