Within the framework of the “Human Rights Month,” a seminar was held at the Western Caspian University
An academic-practical seminar titled “Artificial Intelligence and Human Rights: Opportunities and Risks” was organized at the Western Caspian University.
The event took place as part of the “Human Rights Month” announced by the Commissioner for Human Rights (Ombudsman) of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
During the seminar, discussions focused on the potential of artificial intelligence to expand access to human rights protection, information, education, and public services. At the same time, attention was drawn to issues such as the protection of personal data, algorithmic discrimination, and ethical risks.
Information was also provided about international experience, mechanisms for protecting human rights, and legal reforms implemented in Azerbaijan. Throughout the seminar, students were introduced to human rights in the era of artificial intelligence, digital security, and ethical approaches.
