The International Spring Lecture Series held at Western Caspian University continues successfully.

Within this framework, a lecture on the subject “Calculus I” was organized for first-year students majoring in Computer Science under the guidance of Turkish specialist Associate Professor Melis Çamlıoğlu.

Students were introduced to topics such as the method of substitution in integrals, the area between curves, volumes of solids of revolution (disk and washer methods), as well as the work done by a variable force. In addition, their skills in applying theoretical knowledge through practical examples were further developed.

At the end of the lecture, the students were awarded certificates.

Associate Professor Melis Chamlıoglu specializes in the field of mathematics and is currently affiliated with the Faculty of Computer Engineering at ‘İstanbul Gelişim University’ (“Istanbul Development University”).

Her primary research areas include general algebra, hyper structures, commutative rings, and fuzzy algebraic systems.

Approximately 20 of her articles have been published in journals indexed in Scopus and SCI.

Within her teaching activities, she has taught courses such as discrete mathematics, differential equations, probability and statistics, and mathematical analysis.

Western Caspian University continues to support the academic development of its students by bringing together internationally recognized specialists with learners.
