Western Caspian University’s international success: High score in Impact Rankings 2025.

This ranking assesses the global impact of universities based on the United Nations’ 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and measures the contributions of higher education institutions in the social, economic and environmental spheres.

Western Caspian University is ranked 301st in the second of the UN’s 17 Sustainable Development Goals.

The ranking was determined based on the scientific achievements achieved through research conducted jointly with professors and researchers of partner universities with which the university’s scientists cooperate, and their publication in the world’s most prestigious scientific journals.

Western Caspian University is the first in the country in terms of the number of articles published in prestigious scientific journals Scopus and Web of Science (WOS), dedicated to the results of research that will serve the sustainable development of the economy, including agriculture, and the reduction of food waste.

 

Western Caspian University implements various projects in this direction, involves students and academic staff in social projects, pays special attention to environmental sustainability and pioneers initiatives beneficial to society.

 

This success demonstrates that our University is recognized not only locally, but also internationally, and actively contributes to solving global problems as a socially responsible higher education institution.

 

Western Caspian University will continue to work tirelessly in the coming years to improve the quality of education and achieve higher research results in order to achieve the Sustainable Development goals of our country and the economy at the global level in relevant areas.
