Representatives of Western Caspian University Took Part in Climate Change Webinar

The second webinar in the series of webinars entitled "UNESCO-UNFCCC - 8-Month Discussions on Climate Change Education for Social Transformation on the Road to COP-27" was dedicated to the topic of "How can knowledge on climate change become an activity?”.

Representatives of the Western Caspian University also took part in the discussions.

The webinar focused on two fields:

- What knowledge, skills, values and activities should be strengthened in education policy and curriculum to ensure the empowerment of pupils and students to solve the climate crisis?

- How can learning about climate change become an activity for climate change?

The participants of webinar panel, representatives of leading organizations from around the world - gender, education and climate change expert Christina Kwauk (USA), President of the Kusi Kausai Association Edgar Roman (Peru), Executive Director of the Hitchcock Center William Spitzer - (USA) spoke at the webinar. They shared with the participants the basic skills, values and knowledge required for future transformational climate change education.

 

At the end of the webinar, the organizers noted that a series of webinars will continue on the last Tuesday of each month. The next topic of discussion on June 28, 2022 will be "Education for post carbon green economies".
