Western Caspian University Student Sekine Rustamova Appointed Country Representative of YPARD Azerbaijan
Sekine Rustamova, a Biology student at Western Caspian University, has been appointed Country Representative of the YPARD (Young Professionals for Agricultural Development) Azerbaijan Chapter.
She is currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Biology, with English as the language of instruction, at Western Caspian University. Her areas of academic focus include molecular biology, genetics, biostatistics, and bioinformatics.
In her new role, Sekine Rustamova will lead initiatives focused on the professional development of young specialists, the promotion of agricultural innovation, and the advancement of youth-led agri-food systems.
Sekine is also actively involved in the “AgroLab” project within the Agricultural Development Volunteers initiative, where she serves as a Data Analyst and Project Participant. Using a range of analytical tools and software, she analyses agricultural data and contributes to the development of data-driven approaches in the agricultural sector.
In addition, Sekine actively engages in volunteer initiatives aimed at youth development and the promotion of scientific initiatives, while participating in various leadership and genomics programmes.
As the Country Representative of YPARD Azerbaijan, Sekine Rustamova aims to connect Azerbaijani youth with international agricultural platforms, promote agrotechnology and scientific research, and contribute to the development of the next generation of agri-food leaders.
