WCU Students Undertake Internship at Memorial Hospital

Fourth-year students majoring in Biology at Western Caspian University are undertaking an internship at “Memorial Hospital.”

During the internship, the students become acquainted with various areas of clinical laboratory diagnostics. They gain insights into hematological, hormonal, and biochemical analyses; the determination of tumor markers; the analysis of autoimmune markers; allergology testing; laboratory diagnostics of infectious diseases; immunological and genetic analyses; as well as histological and cytological examinations.

In addition, the students receive comprehensive explanations regarding the principles underlying these analytical procedures, the modern laboratory equipment utilized in their implementation, and the significance of the obtained results for medical diagnostics.

The primary objective of this internship is to provide students with the opportunity to apply the theoretical knowledge acquired during their higher education in a real professional environment, to familiarize them with contemporary laboratory technologies and equipment, and to support the development of their professional competencies and practical skills.
