Certificates were awarded to students who successfully completed the course “Computational Biomathematics” at WCU
A specialized course on “Computational Biomathematics” was organized for students majoring in Biology and Aquatic Bioresources and Aquaculture at the School of High Technologies and Innovative Engineering of Western Caspian University.
The course was conducted under the supervision of Honorary Professor Florian Rupp of Western Caspian University.
Professor Florian Rupp, a German mathematician and researcher, serves as a professor at the Bundeswehr University Munich, Vice President of the Hurwitz Society, and a lecturer at Kutaisi International University.
The course introduced modern biomodelling techniques and artificial intelligence approaches. At the initial stage, interactions between populations in aquatic ecosystems were studied using the WA-Tor model. This process was implemented as a simulation using the Python programming language.
In addition, the role of artificial intelligence in programming and its application in solving biological problems were explained. The representation of biological processes through mathematical models was also demonstrated.
At the conclusion of the course, students were assigned group projects, through which participants conducted research on solving biological problems using programming methods.
Certificates were awarded to students who successfully completed the training.
