Political Analysis and Diplomatic Simulation Laboratory

The Political Analysis and Diplomatic Simulation Laboratory operates under the Faculty of Political and Social Sciences of Western Caspian University as a research-based, educational, and practice-oriented laboratory.

The primary objective of the Laboratory is to equip students with contemporary knowledge and practical skills in the fields of political analysis, diplomatic decision-making, and international relations, and to ensure the application of theoretical approaches through real-world political and diplomatic processes.

Within the framework of the Laboratory, the following areas of activity are implemented:

  • preparation of policy analysis and policy brief documents;
  • diplomatic simulations (United Nations scenarios, international negotiations, multilateral diplomacy, and international security issues);
  • role-playing exercises, debates, and expert sessions.

The activities of the Laboratory are integrated with the Facultys existing curriculum and contribute to the development of students’ analytical thinking, strategic perspective, teamwork, and professional communication skills.

For Undergraduate Students

  • development of core analytical skills;
  • acquisition of practical knowledge in international relations and diplomacy;
  • creation of an active learning environment through simulations and debates.

For Graduate (Masters) Students

  • advanced policy analysis;
  • development of strategic decision-making and forecasting skills;
  • a specialized platform for the preparation of academic and applied policy documents.

The Political Analysis and Diplomatic Simulation Laboratory strengthens the integration of Western Caspian University students into the international diplomatic academic environment and supports the professional training of personnel for diplomacy, public administration, and international organizations.
