Rasim Javan oglu Abbasov was born on February 19, 1983, in Baku. From 1999 to 2004, he completed his bachelors degree in "Commerce" at Azerbaijan State University of Economics. In 2011, he was admitted to the masters program in "Commerce" at the same university and graduated with honors.
In 2018, he defended his Ph.D. dissertation on the topic "State Regulation of Imports in the Agricultural Sector" in the specialty 5312.01 – Sectoral Economics. He is currently pursuing doctoral studies at the Agrarian Research Center under the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
He is the author of more than 20 scientific articles and 1 monograph.
Since 2018, he has been working as a full-time lecturer at the Department of Tourism and Sectoral Economics at Western Caspian University.
