The Republican scientific-practical conference on

The Republican scientific-practical conference on "Topical issues of the History of Medieval Azerbaijan" will be held on February 20, 2021 at the Western Caspian University.

There were serious distortions in the medieval history of Azerbaijan in the former Soviet and Western historiography. Especially in accordance with the Soviet ideology, the ethnic, political, cultural, statehood history of Azerbaijan has been studied on the basis of concepts not related to historical realities. In addition, some issues of special importance for medieval history were not covered in the study and were ignored.Although various problems of the history of medieval Azerbaijan were researched again during the years of independence, a number of issues still remain unexplored on the basis of a completely objective and new historical perspective. The study of the medieval history of Azerbaijan on the basis of independent, non-ideological and possible real facts is of scientific importance today. The purpose of the conference is to re-examine the current problems of distorted, poorly studied, generally not involved in the study of various topics of medieval Azerbaijani history using modern methods of historical science and to reconstruct historical realities.
