WCU Students Participate in “One Health: Challenges for Food Safety”

Students and a faculty member of Western Caspian University participated in the international conference titled “One Health: Challenges for Food Safety.”

The conference, held in an online format, was organized by the Lithuanian University of Health Sciences.

Students majoring in Biology delivered a scientific presentation entitled “Invisible Biological and Systemic Threats in Meat Food Safety: A One Health Assessment of Azerbaijan’s Production Chain.”

The research focused on the evaluation of existing invisible biological and systemic risks in meat product safety within the framework of the One Health approach. The study provided a scientifically grounded analysis of potential risk factors present in the production chain, highlighting the interconnections between food safety, human health, and the environment.
