Center for working languages

The Center for Working Languages was founded in September 2017. Its main objective is to provide language learning services to all faculties of WCU.

Our teaching aim is to foster both academic competency and career opportunities for students and language proficiency among the university’s academic and administrative staff. The Centre considers it a mission to contribute to the development of Azerbaijani society by providing language teaching to non-members of the university.

The staff at the Centre for Working Languages comprises 20 professional language teachers who base their teaching on modern, interactive and internationally certified methods. In their courses, they use sophisticated teaching material and textbooks that live up to the didactic standards and requirements of modern language teaching. The Centre offers courses in English, Russian, German and French. We collaborate closely with the Azerbaijan Teacher Development Centre in order to conduct Cambridge-based and internationally recognized examinations that allow students to assess their learning process and to systematically develop their English proficiency.
