Objectives

Objectives of training in the specialty “Computer Science” are aimed at training highly qualified specialists with fundamental knowledge and practical skills in the field of theoretical and applied computer science, capable of developing and implementing effective, reliable and secure software solutions, observing professional and ethical standards, and continuously developing in the context of rapidly changing technologies and the global market.

Learning outcomes in the specialty “Computer Science”:

- ability to apply mathematical tools to analyze software systems and data based on statistical and probabilistic models;

- ability to apply computer science theory and software engineering fundamentals to create computational solutions;

- ability to develop critical thinking and research methods to promote lifelong learning for personal and professional development;

- ability to use modern tools and methodologies in computing practice;

- ability to work effectively in teams to achieve common goals of designing, evaluating or implementing computing;

- ability to apply design and development principles to creating software systems of varying complexity;

- ability to design, implement and evaluate a computer system, process, architecture, component or program to meet desired needs;

- ability to apply project management tools at various stages of the project life cycle, perform qualitative and quantitative risk assessment of projects, determine project effectiveness;

- ability to design and create software, web applications, mobile applications using modern development tools, libraries, templates and frameworks;

- ability to use foreign language skills to obtain the necessary information of a scientific and technical nature. Ability to use a foreign language to prepare presentations and in oral speech.
