Mechatronics and robotics engineering today is a field of engineering created by the rapid advancement of technology in electronics, computer applications and programming, as well as the rapid development of automation in industry alongside the emergence of intelligent devices and robots.
Mechatronics and Robotics Engineering has emerged as a combination of Mechanical Engineering, Electrical-Electronics Engineering and Computer Engineering, and is a profession that trains engineers who can use natural resources and means of labour economically, as well as produce technological design using modern technology and engineering productivity in the most efficient way, responsive to environmental conditions.
Mechatronics and robotics engineering, which is considered to be a new engineering science of our time, has a wide field of application all over the world with its convenience and efficiency. Mechatronics and robotics engineering consist of a product, a motor system to generate mechanical power, a mechanical system to transmit the resulting power, sensors to record change, a microprocessor to control the system, and a computer programme to control the entire system. Thus, mechatronics and robotics engineering is a field of engineering that develops capable systems that can adapt to different conditions, instead of machines that perform simple functions.
Our Computer laboratories, Electrical-Electronic Circuits Laboratory, Automatic Control Laboratory, and Material Resistance Laboratory are equipped with modern computers and equipment for students to master the necessary theoretical and practical knowledge in the mechatronics and robotics engineering department of the School.
The field of study and application of mechatronics and robotics engineering is very wide; health robots, agricultural robots, automated industry, micro electromechanical systems, flight robots, vision robots, smart weapon industry systems, industrial robot arms, etc. are some of the possible applications.
Students must complete a pre-diploma internship and defend a graduation thesis in order to get a degree.
Graduates who successfully complete the programme can work in telecommunications, computers, aerospace, transport, light and heavy industry, agriculture, enterprises, etc.
