Western Caspian University

The "State Strategy for the Development of Education in the Republic of Azerbaijan" was approved by Decree No. 13 of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan on October 24, 2013. This strategy defined strategic goals and measures for establishing a competitive education system in line with Azerbaijans development concept and advanced international practices. In connection with this, the Strategic Development Center was established at Western Caspian University in 2020.

Main Responsibilities of the Center:

· Defining the universitys medium- and long-term strategies and policies and overseeing their implementation upon approval;

· Enhancing the universitys performance and quality criteria;

· Collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data regarding the universitys services and activities;

· Researching external factors affecting university services (education, training, and research), conducting internal capability assessments, and analyzing the efficiency and satisfaction levels of services;

· Drafting the strategic development plan and organizing activities according to the action program;

· Preparing annual estimates in accordance with the strategic plan and action program, and monitoring activities for compliance;

· Supervising the implementation of the universitys 5-year strategic plan and preparing progress reports;

· Collaborating with local and international organizations within the universitys interests to prepare and implement future development plans;

· Developing and implementing perspective plans to transform the university into a center for education, science, research, and innovation;

· Preparing proposals regarding innovative systems in education;

· Developing university-business cooperation and partnerships;

· Serving as a bridge between faculty/students and the corporate sector;

· Expanding the universitys strategic cooperation with government agencies, industrial sectors, and businesses, ensuring these partnerships align with strategic requirements.
